ADULT BOWEL TOLERANCE & FLUSHING

For adults and children 10+

What is bowel tolerance?

Bowel Tolerance (BT) is the point where your body has absorbed the maximum amount of Vitamin C it can handle orally. It's usually marked by mild gas or stomach rumbling. Finding your BT helps you land on your personal therapeutic dose - one that raises your blood levels high enough to do real work.

What is a flush?

A Vitamin C flush is a controlled cleanse that supports detoxification and digestive health. It produces quick, loose stools - without the prolonged side effects of diarrhea.

Finding your BT

Important: Do not attempt to find your BT while you are sick.

Track your intake - you'll need this information later.

Take 3-5 grams (3,000-5,000mg) of pure ascorbic acid every 15-30 minutes until you experience gas or abdominal rumbling. Stop and wait 15 minutes. If loose stools don't occur, resume dosing every 15 minutes until a flush is achieved.

Did I flush?

Did you suddenly question all your life choices... while sprinting to the bathroom? Congrats - you've officially flushed!

I've flushed. Now what?

Pause dosing and let your stomach settle for 1-2 hours. Then resume with 500-1,000mg every hour for the rest of the day.

Your BT is approximately 10% below your flush dose. For example, a flush at 18,000mg means your daily target is around 16,200mg. This number will naturally decrease as you heal - and will double or triple during illness.

Child Flushing Instructions

Written for children - a parent-friendly guide

What is bowel tolerance?

Bowel Tolerance is the point where your body has taken in all the Vitamin C it can handle. Your tummy might start to rumble or feel gassy - that's your body's way of saying "that's enough for now!" This helps you know the right amount your body needs to get the full benefits.

What is a flush?

A Vitamin C flush is like giving your tummy a quick clean-up. It helps your body get rid of germs and waste, and you might need to go to the bathroom fast once or twice - but it doesn't last long.

Finding your BT

Important: Do not attempt to find your BT while you are sick.

Track each dose - you'll need this information later.

Give your child 1-3 grams (1,000-3,000mg) of Vitamin C powder every 15-30 minutes. When their tummy starts to feel a little grumbly, pause for 15 minutes. Then give a smaller amount (500-1,000mg) every 15 minutes until loose stools occur - that's their body's way of saying it's full.

Did I flush?

Did your tummy make you run faster than a cheetah to the bathroom? Congrats - you flushed!

I've flushed. Now what?

Take a little break and let your tummy rest for 1-2 hours. Then start taking smaller amounts of Vitamin C (about 500-1,000mg every hour) to keep things moving gently.

Your Bowel Tolerance is the amount just below what made you flush. As you get healthier, that number will go down - but when you're sick, your body may need double or even triple.

You can do a flush using Juice Powder, but keep in mind your bowel tolerance reading may not be exact since this blend also contains fruit powder and stevia.
